About Us
History:

The Community Health Center of Franklin County opened the doors of its medical clinic in Turners Falls in 1997 with the mission to provide excellent medical care to all residents of Franklin County, regardless of insurance status or income.

We are a private nonprofit agency overseen by a community Board of Directors. At least 51% of our Board of Directors must be patients of the health center.

We have continued to grow to better serve our patients since that time and now offer numerous services, including dental, mental health, nutrition, smoking cessation, substance abuse counseling, community outreach, and Spanish translation.

The Health Center has two school-based sites. One located at the Mohawk Trail Regional School and the other at the Pioneer Valley Regional School. We opened our newest site in September 2006 in Orange.

Most of our patients live in Franklin County or the North Quabbin and we try to meet the needs of each patient by participating in numerous commercial insurance plans, Medicare, Commonwealth Care and MassHealth. We also offer a sliding fee scale program for people without insurance.
